September and October was an especially difficult time here at DVRE. Due to some family health issues I had to cut back on the time I spent on my projects. In August I worked extra hard to get a few extra mixes done just in case things got a bit tough in September, which they did. Thankfully I had enough new projects to fill the months release schedule.
By October I realized I needed to have releases available, so I went thru my unfinished projects and picked the best of the bunch...and finally finished them. By the end of October I had completed quite a few edits, which are available on both Legitmix and Hearthis. I was fortunate to also work on yet another collaboration with Mick Collins-Gellar of the UK's Blackroom Reconstructions. Together we offered up a pretty sweet from the stems remix of Hall & Oates classic "Private Eyes". I was also supposed to work on a remix of "Maneater" as well, but time did not allow me to do so. It is my hope that in the coming months things will normalize for my family and I will be able to dedicate more time to Editing and my LiveStream. Here are a few upcoming highlights: - I can look forward to having my mixes showcased on Johannesburg South Africa's Hot 91.9 by the amazing DJ Paul Almeida during his weekly Club Classics show. I have also created a 30 minute mix for his program that will be broadcast on Saturday 11/14 @ 8pm Johannesburg local time. - The UK's Retro Grooves will be showcasing my mixes on Soundcloud and Hearthis as well early in November. - I should hit 1000 Followers on Hearthis very soon! - And then there are the edits and remixes. Hopefully I will come up with a few good ones :) Cheers! DJ FreddyG
